CNN —The UN Security Council has approved a resolution calling for “humanitarian pauses and corridors” in war-torn Gaza, a long-awaited diplomatic breakthrough after weeks of bitter negotiations. He also criticized its lack of condemnation for the deaths of civilians and humanitarian workers. CNN —A 23-year-old German-Israeli woman who was kidnapped from the Nova music festival by Hamas militants on October 7 has been found dead, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said. Louk was attending the festival in southern Israel on October 7 when Hamas breached the border between Gaza and Israel. Shani told her mother she was at the festival with few places to hide. The body of Louk, a dual Israeli-German citizen, was seen on video seemingly unconscious on the back of a Hamas truck after the music festival attack. It was very scary, and we were very worried,” Louk’s mother told CNN in the days after the rampage.

A father and two sons were arrested after a wild attempt to get to a plane after missing their flight. The passengers forced their way onto the bridge once boarding closed, according to the Times of Israel. A video shows one of the men then dangling from the bridge, jumping off, and heading for the plane. The newspaper reported that they broke onto the boarding bridge after the plane had already moved away, with one family member leaping down from it and approaching the plane. The footage shows at least one of the men later being surrounded by security staff at the airport.

Jerusalem CNN —A United Nations agency that operates in the West Bank and Gaza says Israel is not processing visas for its newly recruited staff, while Israeli officials accuse the agency of “ignoring Israeli victims of terror” in East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, a charge the agency denies. The UN considers East Jerusalem and the West Bank to be occupied territory, and Israelis living there to be living in illegal settlements. Erdan said when OCHA is asked why they don’t count Israeli victims, they are told the agency does not have reliable data. “Of course you don’t, you don’t employ Hebrew speakers, and the senior manager of the agency is Palestinian,” Erdan said. OCHA’s latest report does record some instances of Israelis being injured by stones thrown at civilian vehicles traveling in the West Bank.

The temporary direct charter flights between Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, represent the only official direct flights between the two nations.
